Credit Reports for Loans

So you have tons of loans. And if you're like me, you have paperwork scattered all around from the intermittent notices that get sent to you. Or, in a similar situation to what happened to me, your lender doesn't send you anything to let you know that your interest is already accruing. I know, so kind of them to keep me up-to-date on something so important. Well, what could I do· I didn't have paperwork from them, the school where I'd been attending when I took the loan out couldn't point me in the right direction, and it looked like I was up that smelly creek and my paddle was rounding a different bend.
That's when I stumbled upon the website: http://www.annualcreditreport.com. This site is useful in two ways. First off, it lets you check and make sure that you haven't been an unwitting victim of identity theft. Secondly, it shows you all the loans you have out, the lenders, and their contact information. Finally I had one source that had all the necessary information to get in touch with these places and settle some things about my loan payments. The best part about all of it is that use of the service is free. I'd check out the website right about now if I were you.
