Frugal Furniture I

In every place we live, we fill up the space with furniture (and probably a lot of stuff we don't need). I'm guilty of the same habits, but I've learned the secrets to finding nice furniture to fill up my place without having to drain my bank account. The first thing you should do is consult family and friends and see what they have that might fit your style or need. Just because your friends and family are getting rid of some item of furniture, doesn't mean that there is anything wrong from it. Sometimes, they're the best people to consult since you know the merchandise won't be shoddy.
You have two other options you can consult, depending on how technologically adept you are. Since you're checking this site right now, I assume you have some access to the internet, so here are the online ways to help you track down cheap furniture. Craigslist is a great source for a variety of things, including furniture. People post stuff on there that they want to sell. Sure, you might have to drive a little bit to pick up the item, but in the grand scheme of things, you'll be saving a lot of money. Another option are websites like freeshare, where you can post items you have that you're giving away for free, or enter posts for what you're looking for. If someone else is giving that item away, you'll receive an email letting you know. This is a local area thing as well, so you won't have to haul anything from too far away.
