Babies Everywhere

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I certainly did.
I was reading the news this morning and came across an article from England's Daily Mail covering a woman who won't have babies because they're "selfish" and not eco-friendly. Listen honey, I've got two words for you: You're Right. Now, my wife and I have two kids and I can tell you first hand that having children is selfish. It is arguably the most selfish thing you can do. Don't get me wrong, we're all entitled to this act of selfishness and I wouldn't trade them for anything but come on--this outrage of children not being selfish is pretty ridiculous. If you TRULY believe that your children are so fantastic they're going to make the world a better place you're either somehow related to Martha Stewart or totally off your rocker.
As for the kids not being eco-friendly, they're really not. Think of all those diapers. Thankfully both of mine are now beyond that stage but I'll admit that despite being a self-proclaimed "frugal family" we used disposable diapers from time to time. If you have had children then you know how wonderful it is just to toss one and not put one back in the laundry after scraping unsettling things off it.
Anyway, my point is: get off this woman's back.
