Frugal Housekeeping Follow-Up

Posted By: Dr. Frugal in Frugality on 08/06/2007 at 08:27:44

In my last frugal housekeeping entry I suggested replacing paper towels with rags because rags are a better money investment. Today, while half-asleep, I missed putting the half-gallon of milk on the refrigerator shelf and it fell to the ground, losing it's top and dumping about a quart of milk on the kitchen floor. I had about a dozen sheets left on the Viva roll and decided to go for it. Sure enough, it soaked up everything. Maybe you should hold onto a few roles of paper towel for just such emergencies. I did use a rag to clean the floor once the milk was cleaned up though.
