Save on Gas for your Car

Alright, if you listen real close, I'll tell you how to make your own gas for half the price of what the gas stations are selling it for. You take two parts of….wait, none of this is true. At least not the making your own gas part. There is always getting one of those conversion kits online that lets your diesel vehicle run on used vegetable oil Which if prices continue to go up the way they are, I wouldn't be shocked if you see more of that happening.

Well, there's no real secret to saving on gas for your car, other than don't use it. If you're going to work, carpool with your fellow employees. If you live in an area with public transportation, take it. Don't take taxis to work. You're paying too much money and you're still burning the gas, it's just not in your car at this point. You can try riding your bike to work as well. I'm not going to advocate strapping on rollerblades and causally gliding to work as Homer the Stonecutter once did. That didn't turn out too well. But anything you can do to save money on gas is worthwhile. Living a frugal lifestyle in the current day and age is difficult enough. Now, with gas prices way over $3/gallon for most of the US, it's getting dang near impossible. I know this sounds like hippy advice, but I'd take it as practical fiscal wisdom rather than groovy insight.
