"Blackness" in the Campaign

Can we stop talking about Barack being black now? Yes, he's black but who cares? He's not defined by being black and I think that's a resounding statement for him. I think anyone that defies a single label is doing the right thing. I had a friend in grad school who was gay but if I had to describe him in 20 words I'm not sure I'd be able to fit "gay" in there because there were 20 better words that describe him. Same for Barack--you can't reasonably tell me he doesn't have 20 words than better-describe him than black, can you? Enough coverage on it already, why don't you talk about all the things that *really* define him, like his oratory skills? He certainly wasn't born with those but things seemed to work out okay for him...
