US Fertile Again

We did it, we finally have enough kids to replace each adult that "goes away". Personally, I think it would be nice to taper this number down--maybe 1.75 or something so there's not the economic drop-off but at the same time just generally reducing the people around us. I realize that with two kids I am enormous hypocrite (a boy and a girl no less) but you have to admit, there are lot of people hanging around. I'm sure "rebuilding" a population can't be that hard, so let's just taper it down a bit.
