Time For Crime

California is talking about releasing over 22k prisoners to save tax dollars. It's not my place to say if this is good or bad but if it were my place I'd first want to know who makes up the "certain non-serious, nonviolent, non-sex offenders who are in the final 20 months of their terms." To me that sounds like burglars, pot smokers and white collar criminals. Frankly, I'm not ok with anyone being released early but if I had to agree with certain groups I'd probably let the pot smokers out first, followed by the white-collar criminals. I think if you burgle someone's house you should rot in prison. It might not be violent but surely the emotional trauma to the victim is pretty bad. Anyway, hopefully this won't happen--if it does surely other states will follow suit and it's going to be a free-for-all.
