$2:£1 Unsustainable

According to today's news the current $2:£1 ratio is unsustainable. Although the US dollar may be the "persona non-grata of the currency world" it's bound to come back. Why the optimism? Because eventually people are going to need houses in the US and interest rates are going to be SO low that they'll start buying again. Once that happens, the dollar will come back and while it might not be the "choice" currency it once was, surely it will bounce up and settle back in to about $1.50 or so to the pound.
